As RB Chris Johnson’s holdout continues, RB Javon Ringer is running with the Titans’ 1st-team offense. “He fits into this offense perfectly,” HC Mike Munchak said. “He hits the hole quick and is great at protections. Smart kid, he’s been here awhile now so obviously we’re comfortable with him. He’s comfortable with us, so it just gets him some opportunity to play with the first group.” It sounds like Ringer is comfortably ahead of 4th-round rookie Jamie Harper for the team’s backup RB job. Harper would likely see passing-down work if Johnson were to go down, but Ringer would be a much better fantasy play. He’s a must-have handcuff for CJ2K owners.
