Steelers WR Hines Ward announced his retirement in an emotional press conference on Tuesday. He spent all 14 seasons of his NFL career with Pittsburgh, ranking 1st in franchise history in catches (1,000), receiving yards (12,083), and receiving TDs (85). "I can say I'm a Steeler for life," Ward said. "And that's the bottom line. That's all I really wanted to do." Ward should get plenty of Hall of Fame consideration. He sits inside the top-18 in all-time catches, receiving yards, and receiving TDs. And what doesn't show up on the stat sheet is that he's the best run-blocking WR to ever play the game.
