Hakeem Nicks "optimistic" about Week 2

According to beat writer Ralph Vacchiano, the Giants are "optimistic" about WR Hakeem Nicks' (knee) chances of playing in Week 2.  He's dealing with some swelling in the knee, but tests revealed no structural damage.  Vacchiano admits that "there's a chance he could miss [Week 2]," but also adds that "It seems doubtful that he'd miss much more than that."  Nicks dodged a bullet here, and we'll continue to update his status for Monday night's game against the Rams.
