Former Running Back Major Everett Still Making Moves Post Football

Major Everett Former RB for the Eagles,Bears and Falcons

Since retiring, Everett has established the Major Everett Foundation, which focuses on the welfare of retired NFL players who may suffer from disabilities or financial issues. He has also been active in business outside of football stating, “I am a workaholic. I’ve been down in the Atlanta area as a developer. I’ve been in the real-estate business and of course I’m getting my butt kicked right now.”

Everett attended the 7th annual Smocks and Jocks art show in Indianapolis on Saturday, February 4th. At the event, current and former players displayed their own artwork. The art was auctioned off at the event to benefit the VSA Arts of Indy and Gene Upshaw Players Assistance Trust Fund.

“I am a big art collector and came here to give my support, to look at some of the artwork, and to see what’s going on in the art industry.” Everett commented about the event. There were a few pieces that really stood out to Everett, “Tony Mandarich’s stuff was awesome, Andre Collins was great, and there were a few more guys.”

Cleary, Everett has been busy since his retirement with activates both football related and unrelated. Just as other NFL alumni, he is adapting to his life outside of football well. With finding other interests in business, art, and more; Major Everett has much on his plate to keep him occupied in the years to come.
