The Miami Dolphins, along with members of the Miami Dolphins Women’s Organization (MDWO), Fins Weekend committee members, the 758th Engineer Company from the United States Army and Rebuilding Together, helped renovate the house of Ruby Grant.
Grant recently celebrated her 101st birthday, making this event her ultimate birthday surprise! The group contributed to Grant’s home by painting and landscaping. Sears also delivered a 30” free standing electric range, 30” free standing top freezer refrigerator and free standing microwave to her home. Notable players that attended were Nolan Carroll, Brandon Fields, and Nate Garner.
Donna Fales, the Executive Director of Rebuilding together Miami, commented,“Every player was terrific in terms of being gracious, in talking to anybody who would come up to them, wanting to help in any way that they can.”
The players themselves were extremely grateful to have been a part of such an opportunity to give back to their community.
Nate Garner said “It’s just an amazing thing to get out there and help someone” which the Miami Dolphins do on a regular basis.
