Bears OC Mike Martz has vowed to get WR Earl Bennett more involved in the offense this year. “We didn’t throw it to him enough,” Martz admitted. “That will be remedied. He will figure in a much larger role than he did last year. He came to us late. He was injured. I wasn’t really sure where he was with all the stuff. But he established himself as a guy who needs to get a lot more balls than he did. He’s extremely reliable.” After being inactive for Week 1, Bennett ended up 3rd on the team in catches (46) and 2nd in receiving yards (561). We’re expecting this Bears passing game to take a step forward in their 2nd season in Martz’s system, and Bennett should be a big part of that.
