Eagles DeSean Jackson in Walking Boot

Wide receiver DeSean Jackson was wearing a walking boot on his right foot as he walked around the locker room following the Eagles Sunday night victory over division rival New York.

Jackson said that he injured his foot on the fourth play of the game.

I was kind of out there running around and a player stepped on my foot,” Jackson told reporters after the game. “It’s a little sprain but it will be alright. The biggest thing is we got the win today.”

Jackson finished with 8 catches for 88 yards, plus a 51-yards punt return that set up an Eagles touchdown late in the first half.

After being benched last week for missing a meeting, Jackson apologized to the team and made things right this week, from preparation through the game.

“I’m a firm believer in putting everything behind you in life. Things happen sometimes unfortunately, but you have to be a professional about the situation and I was able to do that,” said Jackson. “I really let my team down.

“People don’t understand the light that I bring and try to shine on my teammates. Coach Reid always says, ’Give me energy. Give me energy.’ This week was great.”

“All week at practice,” said backup QB Vince Young, who started the Sunday night game. “When he told you in the interview how he feels and how he is going to be a team player and all these different things, he did that all week at practice. He was studying, and he brought that to the game as well.”
