Panthers WR David Gettis has been running with the 1st-team offense early in training camp. It looks like he has the edge on Brandon LaFell for the team’s #2 WR spot. Both guys are entering their 2nd year in the NFL, but Gettis was more productive in 2010. He averaged 13.7 yards per catch and led the team with 3 receiving TDs. He has big-play potential, but there’s no upside here with Carolina’s shaky QB situation.
