S Dashon Goldson has re-signed with the 49ers on a 1-year deal. It’s a very anti-climactic finish for a guy who hoped to cash in as an unrestricted free agent. Goldson spent the past 2 years starting at FS for the Niners and should be a given to do so again this year. He should also be in for a return to his big-play ways of 2009. Goldson was limited by myriad injuries in 2010, though he didn’t miss a game. Recent signee S Madieu Williams might have trouble making the active roster, with S Reggie Smith likely to stick as a backup. Goldson was a top-15 fantasy DB in 2009 and continues to carry that upside.
