The Dallas Cowboys needs to Regroup after a 37-36 loss to the Packers

Over and over again we see the Dallas Cowboys struggle to close out a game after a dominate first half. The Cowboys had literally beaten down the Green Bay Packers in the first half. They controlled the time of possession and had took advantage of the holes in the Packer’s defense.Dallas+Cowboys+v+Green+Bay+Packers+W-Zu5oZ4C4vl (2)

Offensively Packer’s QB Mat Flynn had trouble with getting in stride with accurate passes as he was hassled in the first half. As the clock expired for halftime the Packers desperately needed some type of spark to make a comeback. In the second half Flynn had destroyed whatever confidence that the Cowboys had. He had 4 td’s in the second half and drove his team down for a victory.

After a few mistakes from the Cowboys, Flynn had marveled a destined comeback closing a 23 point margin, the largest comeback in franchise history.”Most guys would pack it in – ‘Guys, it’s not our season. Let’s go home and get ready for next year,’” said Green Bay corner back Tramon Williams, who had an interception overturned on review before a game-clinching pick that was ruled incomplete and reversed on replay. “It’s not that vibe here.”

This was an emotional game for both of the teams, in which both of them needed to win to keep their hopes of winning a playoff spot.

“It took me everything not to cry,” said Packers coach Mike McCarthy, whose team won its second straight without Rodgers after going winless in the first five, including the Chicago game when the star QB got hurt. “I’m just drained. Just the sheer emotion. It was incredible.”

“What a feelin’!’” said Flynn, who threw for 299 yards with one interception. “As we were taking a knee, we were thinking ‘Is this real? Is this happening?’”

On the Cowboy’s side of the field Cowboy’s QB Tony Romo had altered a running play into a throwing option and that is how Tramon Williams had intercepted the ball. The Cowboys had the game won in the first half and let go of the gas. “We still control what we feel like we can get done,” Romo said. “It just doesn’t feel like it right now because we let it slip away.”

” This is one of the hardest losses that I’ve experienced,” Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said. ” “We still control what we feel like we can get done,” Romo said. “It just doesn’t feel like it right now because we let it slip away.”

Despite Romo throwing for 358 yards and two touchdowns, he couldn’t avoid costly mistakes.

Cowboy’s Receiver Dez Bryant was so frustrated with the outcome of the game he had left the field even before the game had ended and did not want to give any interviews to reporters. The Cowboys face a challenge with getting into the playoffs now. They had to get a victory over the Washington Redskins and the Philadelphia Eagles to get the division title and move on to the post season.

The Cowboys are optimistic, but what does the future hold for Tony Romo if he can not make an appearance in the playoffs.
