The Giants have reached a 3-year, $8 million deal with DT Cullen Jenkins. The former Eagle visited the team shortly after Philly cut him. He also met with the Seahawks, Niners and Raiders after that before returning to sign. That sequence suggests Jenkins likes what the Giants offered, likely in terms of money and role. Jenkins tallied 9.5 sacks over 2 seasons with the Eagles. That followed 7 sacks in just 11 games his final year in Green Bay. Jenkins brings more pass-rushing pop to the interior than DT Chris Canty, whom the Giants cut for salary-cap reasons this winter. That added interior pressure can only help DEs Jason Pierre-Paul and Justin Tuck. Look for the team to improve on its lowly #22 league ranking in sacks from 2012.
