Colts Cheerleaders Shaved Their Heads in Support of Chuck Pagano

Colts Cheerleaders Shave Head-03 350x350Indianapolis Colts Head Coach Chuck Pagano’s battle with leukemia has caused him to lose his hair do to his chemo treatment sessions. Not long after the Colts players shaved their heads to show their support for their head coach in solidarity.

The gesture has now moved one step further as two Colts cheerleaders have also elected to lose their hair in support of Coach Pagano. The team, the community and the NFL has come together to show their support in various ways. But for a cheerleader, two of them, whose job is based on stunning glamour and breathtaking beauty to shave their heads is absolutely stunning.

But not surprising.

The Colts mascot, named Blue, shaved the two cheerleaders heads as the CBS camera showed the them holding each other’s hands during the process with big smiles as they prepare to find out in some little way what others who battle leukemia go through after they lose their hair.

The mascot is trying to raise $10,000 for cancer research.

Coach Pagano was in attendance for the game and received a standing ovation when they showed him on the big screen. He is scheduled for one more round of treatment this Friday even though he is currently in remission.

The Colts improved their record to 7-4 and have increased their chances of making the playoffs as a wildcard team. The Colts goal is to keep playing long enough into the season so Coach Pagano can make a safe and healthy transition back to the sideline.
