Although Titans RB Chris Johnson has carried an NFL-high 674 times over the past 2 seasons, OC Chris Palmer isn’t worried about his stud wearing down. “Chris Johnson is one of our playmakers and we’d like to get as much out of him as we could,” Palmer said. “Just watching Chris run, when he’s not on the field, I think we’re hurting ourselves.” That being said, Palmer did concede that they may try to lighten his load by giving those tough goal line carries to another back — either rookie Jamie Harper or a free-agent. “We’ve talked about different personnel groups, and some of those personnel groups would have Chris out,” Palmer admitted. This would obviously put a dent in Johnson’s fantasy upside, but a lot of his scores come from distance anyways. He’s still a rock-solid top-3 pick.
