The Steelers have officially named QB Charlie Batch their starter for Saturday’s game against the Rams. QB Ben Roethlisberger (ankle) didn’t practice all week. If he’s active tomorrow, it’ll be as an emergency option only. Batch is a classic veteran game-manager. Pittsburgh figures to go extremely run-heavy against St. Louis, leaving Mike Wallace and Antonio Brown as borderline WR2s.
