The NFL Players Association under its One Team One Community initiative has partnered with the Federal Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Agency to support their efforts around Father’s Day. The Mission of the One Team One Community initiative is to improve the quality of life of the communities that support NFL players by encouraging healthy lifestyles, positive choices, teamwork and commitment to service.

A number of volunteers are slated to attend events around the country with specific PHAs including Pro Player Insider’s own Ricardo and Tammara McDonald.
HUD has asked each Public Housing Authority in major cities across the country to invite fathers and their children to a community center, where they will have “bonding activities”: arts and crafts, games, refreshments, music, etc. Fathers will also be able to access information on healthcare, job training possibilities, legal advice, and ways to build and support strong families.
