Vilma, Best, Hester, Addai All Likely Out For Week 10

Bears WR Devin Hester (ankle) was unable to practice all week. He’s listed as questionable for Week 10 — and HC Lovie Smith says he’s “hopeful” Hester will be able to play against the Lions — but that seems like a long shot.

The Saints have ruled MLB Jonathan Vilma out for the 2nd straight week because of a knee injury. That’ll give Jo-Lonn Dunbar another start in his place.

Lions RB Jahvid Best (concussion) has officially been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Bears.  He still hasn’t been medically-cleared to return to the field.  RBs Maurice Morris and Keiland Williams will continue to split touches, and RB Kevin Smith is in the mix now too.  It’s a situation to avoid in fantasy.

Colts RB Joseph Addai (knee) was unable to practice all week and is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Jaguars.  If he’s active, it’ll be in an emergency role.  Addai hasn’t touched the ball the past 2 weeks.  RBs Donald Brown and Delone Carter will continue to share backfield duties.

Rams WR Danario Alexander (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Browns.  WR Brandon Gibson is expected to get another start in his place, but he’s not a fantasy option, especially with WR Mark Clayton set to make his 2011 debut.  WR Brandon Lloyd is the only solid fantasy play among this WR corps.  Austin Pettis is a desperation option in PPR formats.

Saints WR Lance Moore (hamstring) missed his 2nd straight practice on Friday.  He’s listed as questionable and is definitely in danger of missing Sunday’s game against the Falcons.  Even if he plays, he’ll be a risky fantasy option.  We’ll have his official status around noon ET on Sunday.
