Cardinals RB Beanie Wells (knee) returned to practice on Thursday. HC Ken Whisenhunt admitted that Wells was dealing with swelling in that knee earlier this week. He's expected to play against the 'Niners on Sunday but is better off on your bench against the league's top-ranked defense against RBs.
