Wide receiver ANTONIO BROWN of the Pittsburgh Steelers was named AFC Offensive Player of the Month for December, the NFL announced today.

- Brown ranked second in the conference in catches (33) and receiving yards (440) with two touchdown receptions in December.
- He led the Steelers to an AFC-best 4-0 record for the month while posting at least seven catches in each contest and three 100-yard games.
- In Week 14 at Cincinnati, Brown posted nine catches for 117 yards, followed by a 10-catch, 123-yard performance in Week 15 at Atlanta. He added 72 receiving yards and one touchdown catch in a pivotal Week 16 win against Kansas City to secure a playoff berth.
- On Sunday Night Football against the Bengals in Week 17, Brown helped the Steelers clinch their first AFC North title since 2010 with 128 receiving yards and two total touchdowns (63-yard catch, 71-yard punt return).
- Brown set the single-season franchise record for receiving yards (1,698) in 2014 and his 129 catches were the second-highest single-season total in NFL history (MARVIN HARRISON, 143 in 2002).
- In his fifth season from Central Michigan, this is Brown’s first career Player of the Month Award.
- He is the first Steelers wide receiver to win a Player of the Month Award since HINES WARD in September of 2004.
