Sunday’s game between the Detroit Lions and the Chicago Bears had moments that reminded you of a NHL game gone bad. Bears quarterback Jay Cutler had his helmet pop off following a chase and tackle by Ndamukong Suh. While Suh has been taking a beating for being a ‘dirty player’ his tackle on Sunday didn’t bring any flags, penalties or fines. Here’s a look at the lion chasing the bear from SportsGrid.
On the flip, the bear chased the lion later in the game which resulted in both teams ending up in an on-field skirmish during the fourth quarter. Following an interception by the Bears, D.J. Moore was blocking Matthew Stafford and Stafford grabbed Moore’s helmet and seemingly tried to rip it off. Moore charged after Stafford, a melee ensued and Moore was ejected from the game.
Bear won the battle with a 37-13 victory over the lions.
