An MRI on Vikings RB Adrian Peterson’s left knee revealed a torn ACL and MCL. It’s the worst possible news. Doctors will need to wait for the MCL to heal before they can operate on the ACL.
The 26-year-old AP should eventually make a full recovery, but he’ll struggle to be ready in time for the 2012 season opener. His rehab will be one of the biggest story lines of the offseason.
