5 Things You Might Not Know: Cincinnati Bengals Edition

Today, we continue our series of things you might not know with five things about the Cincinnati Bengals. 

1. The Bengals were founded in 1966 as a member of the American Football League by Paul Brown.

2. The Bengals were the last team to join the AFL before the AFL and NFL merger in 1970.

3. The Bengals were a member of the AFC Central division from 1970-2001 before joining the AFC North in 2002.

4. The Bengals have 2 NFL MVP’s in their history, Quarterback Ken Anderson in 1981 and Quarterback Boomer Esiason in 1988.

5. The Bengals current head coach, Marvin Lewis, was voted Coach of the Year in 2009.
