Gene Frenette of the Sporting News nominates TE Zach Miller as Jacksonville's 2012 breakout player. We're not sure if Frenette is actually high on Miller, or if it was a default selection because there were no better options. Regardless, Frenette notes that Miller was more dedicated to his diet and conditioning this offseason. That's a smart move considering he's been unable to stay healthy. Miller has missed 15 games in his first 3 NFL seasons. We've always liked the athleticism that he brings to the position, and new HC Mike Mularkey is expected to feature the TE in his passing attack. But Miller needs to prove he can stay on the field. And even then, he'll be the #2 TE behind Marcedes Lewis. Miller is worth monitoring but isn't on the redraft radar.
Zachary Miller a breakout candidate?
