The Chargers opted against using their franchise tag on WR Vincent Jackson. Since they used the tag on V-Jax last year, doing so again would have paid him $13.7 million in 2012. San Diego wants to bring Jackson back on a long-term deal, and Jackson is reportedly willing to offer a hometown discount. But as the top WR on the open market, he'll garner tons of interest when free-agency opens on March 13th. The Bears, Patriots, Vikings, 49ers, and Panthers are just a handful of the teams expected to court V-Jax. Other notables who were not franchise-tagged include QB Matt Flynn, RB Peyton Hillis, RB Michael Bush, WR Mike Wallace, WR Vincent Jackson, WR Marques Colston, WR Brandon Lloyd, OG Carl Nicks, DE Mario Williams, CB Cortland Finnegan, and CB Brandon Carr. 21 players did get tagged -- an all-time high. Here's the complete list.
