David Yankey, a 5th-round pick (#145 overall), joins the Vikings after playing 4 seasons at Stanford. Following the 2013 season, Yankey was named a unanimous 1st-Team All-American after being a consensus All-American in 2012. Yankey started 40-of-42 games at Stanford, with 26 of those coming at guard and 14 at tackle.

Kendall James was selected by the Vikings in the 6th round (#184 overall) in the 2014 NFL Draft. James, an AP 2nd-Team All-American in 2013, became the first player to attend Maine to be drafted by the Vikings. James started 36-of-48 games for Maine and tallied 147 tackles, 8 INTs and 25 passes defensed.

Jabari Price was the final of 10 Vikings draft choices when he was selected in the 7th round (#225 overall). Price earned All-ACC honorable mention honors after finishing the 2013 campaign with 74 tackles, 4.5 TFLs and 9 passes defensed in 12 starts for North Carolina.

Austin Wentworth becomes the 16th undrafted free agent to sign with the Vikings in 2014. In his final season at Fresno State, Wentworth was named as Sports Illustrated honorable mention All-American. A 2-time 1st-Team All-Mountain West selection, Wentworth started 43 games, including 42 consecutive.
