Michael Vick, who broke two ribs in last week’s game against the Arizona Cardinals, is unlikely to play this coming Sunday against the New York Giants, according to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Vick hurt his ribs early in the game but continued to play against the Cardinals. While he didn’t seem to be seriously limited for much of the game, this type of injury can get worse the day after it occurs. And there is still additional recover time before Sunday’s game, so it could certainly go either way, but the Eagles are hanging on the edge of playoff elimination and facing a tough Giants team with a tough pass rush.
It may be time for the Eagles to start seriously thinking about working on their team chemistry and getting healthy for next season.
