Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub will be seeking a second opinion on his injured right foot, that could end his season, according to Steve Wyche of NFL.com.
Schaub is expected to see a foot specialist later this week.
“He will make his trip to Charlotte tomorrow and he will be looked at Wednesday morning,” Texans coach Gary Kubiak said. “We’ll hold out hope on Matt … He’s in a boot. We’re trying to keep him into what we’re doing mentally.”
The delay in Schaub seeing the specialist stems from the doctor being unavailable last week, according to a source.
Schaub was injured in the Texans game against the Buccaneers on November 13th. The Texans were on bye this week, and Matt Leinart take the reins when the Texans next take the field, next weekend the Jacksonville Jaguars.
