VIDEO – Tim Tebow is making converts, both on and off the field. His 4-1 record as a starter has people believing that all the “will to win” stuff actually matter. And now he has ex-New York Jet Hugh Douglas going to church on Sunday.
Before the Jets-Broncos game, Douglas said, “If Tim Tebow figures out a way to win this game, I’m going to church Sunday.”
Tebow called him out on it in the post-game press conference, saying that he’d heard Douglas’ comments and, “I’m going to Tweet him. He better be in his Sunday best. I hope he can sign praise and worship, too.”
Douglas said he would honor his bet, and go to St. Matthew’s Baptist Church in south Jersey. He also complimented Tebow, saying that while he was watching the game, he said, “If this game stays close, Tim Tebow is going to find a way to win it. You can just see the way the guys were playing.”
He went on to add that, as a former football player, he could tell how the team was rallying around Tebow and believing in him. Sounds like another convert.
