Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III has taken the NFL and our nation’s capital by storm, but claims President Obama has declined an offer from the rookie to play a game of one-on-one basketball.
“He said he wouldn’t play me but I could play on his team,” Mr. Griffin told Yahoo News’ Chris Moody.
Yahoo sports reports Griffin challenged the Commander in Chief at a National Prayer Breakfast held at Baylor University last year.
Since Griffin believes President Obama would never play him one-on-one, he brought up the possibility of teaming up with the leader of our nation to take on the First Lady and one of Griffin’s former classmates.
“I don’t think he’ll ever play against me,” he said. “We’ll have it me and him versus [All-American Women's Basketball Baylor senior] Brittney Griner and Mrs. Obama.”
