Bears RB Marion Barber has decided to retire after 7 NFL seasons. He was set to be released by Chicago after they added RB Michael Bush. Barber is only 28 years old but ran with a reckless abandon and was never likely to have a long career. His prime years came in 2006 and 2007, when he averaged 4.8 yards per carry and scored 28 total TDs. But his production has nose-dived since. Barber hit pay dirt only 26 times over the past 4 seasons, while averaging just 3.8 yards per carry.
