Matt Leinart has left the Texans-Jaguars game with a left shoulder injury, leaving rookie T.J. Yates to run the offense. No work on Leinart’s longer term prognosis except he will not return today.
Houston is up 20-10 at the half, and Leinart was efficiently leading the offense, going 10-13 for 57 yards and a TD. Yates has started 4-10 for 42 yards, but can still lean on the running tandem of Arian Foster and Ben Tate, who have combined for 90 yards mid-way through the third quarter.
PFT is reporting that the Texans fear Leinart has a broken collarbone, which could effectively end his season.
