Chiefs HC Romeo Crennel admits that he's "not exactly sure" why RB Jamaal Charles finished with just 5 carries and 3 catches against the Raiders on Sunday. He hinted that RB Peyton Hillis' return had something to do with it. “We were rotating our backs in there," Crennel said. "Hillis was back and he was able to get some carries. He was somewhat effective. When a guy’s effective, we kind of stay with him a little bit. Hillis was able to run through there and break some tackles and get some things done." Problem is, even Hillis carried just 4 times for 23 yards. The bigger issue here is Kansas City's offense in general. They couldn't get anything going against a mediocre Raiders defense. The best solution is more touches for J-Chaz, who is easily the team's most explosive offensive player. Remember that he finished with just 9 touches back in Week 2. The following Sunday he carried a career-high 33 carries. Look for KC to feed him plenty against the Chargers this coming Thursday. Charles needs to stay in fantasy lineups.
