Buffalo Bills players Fred Jackson, Mike Jasper, Arthur Moats and Rian Lindell made a surprise visit to “Super School” East View Elementary in Olean, NY yesterday to present the school with a $10,000 grant as part of the NFL Play 60 program.
The grant is earmarked for use on equipment and programs to help make kids more active.
The school was one of only two winners nationwide who came from outside an NFL market. Winning schools were selected from all entries who submitted photos of a Back to Football Friday event where they demonstrated their passion for their favorite team.
“That’s one of the things that drives kids, when they see rewards like this,” running back Fred Jackson said.
“That’s something as a professional athlete that you should want to do – support kids for things that they do.”
