According to Pro Football Weekly, 7th-round rookie Daryl Richardson has leap-frogged fellow rookie Isaiah Pead for the #2 spot on the Rams' depth chart. Richardson took 2 carries for 20 yards in the opener, while Pead didn't receive a touch. “He earned the top backup job with his preseason play," a team source said of Richardson. "He’s a very decisive runner who perhaps should be worked more into the mix.” We doubt Richardson will see enough touches to be a fantasy factor, barring a Steven Jackson injury. But he is a worthwhile handcuff.
