Dallas Clark and Joseph Addai Released by Colts

The Colts have released TE Dallas Clark.  One of QB Peyton Manning's boys, Clark has had a productive career when he's been on the field.  But he's missed 29 games in 9 seasons with a smorgasbord of injuries.  Clark has lost more than a few steps at age 32.  He's averaged 9.8 yards per catch over the past 2 years. The Colts have also released RB Joseph Addai.  The former 1st-round pick never lived up to that lofty billing.  After topping 1,000 yards rushing in each of his first 2 seasons, he’s averaged just 575 over the past 4.  Addai’s career yards-per-carry sits at an unimpressive 4.1, and he’s missed 18 games with injuries.  Turning 29 in May and Addai is still a capable pass-catcher and pass-blocker.  RB Donald Brown projects as Indy’s Week 1 starter, with RB Delone Carter looking like the short-yardage option.
