Chris Kluwe, punter is joining the Oakland Raiders.
Kluwe, who was released by the Minnesota Vikings earlier this month and will fill the void left by Shane Lechler who joined the Texans during free agency.
He told Brendon Ayanbadejo of FOXSports reports.
“I’m excited to be an Oakland Raider and be playing in California now, my family can actually come to games.”
Known for both his skills on the field and his social activism, he told Ayanbadejo “I’m still going to be myself socially and continue to tweet and interact with my fans.”
While Kluwe’s contract is for one year, and is for the league minimum he is hoping to play for the next seven years and end his career in California.
