The Bengals today made the following 21 roster moves in reaching the NFL limit of 53:

 

* Placed one player on the Reserve/Injured list:

            –DE Marcus Hardison (second-year player, Arizona State, shoulder injury)

 

* Terminated the contract of one vested veteran, releasing him to free agency:

            –CB Chykie Brown (fifth-year player, Texas)

 

* Placed one player on the Reserve/Suspended by Commissioner list:

            –LB Vontaze Burfict (fifth-year player, Arizona State; out for Games 1-3 under NFL policy for playing rules violations)

 

* Waived 18 players:

            The Bengals today waived WR Mario Alford (second-year player, West Virginia) from the Reserve/Injured list, with an injury settlement.
