The Tennessee Titans Travelled to Cincinnati to take on the Bengals in a preseason matchup Saturday. The Bengals defeated the Titans with a final score of 27 to 19.
The key to success this season for the Tennessee Titans starts with Chris Johnson. Johnson made running the ball seem easy last week against the Redskins as he only had two attempts from the field for 60 yards and a 58 yard touchdown. However, Saturday was not the same case for Johnson as he had seven attempts from scrimmage, only ran for only 30 yards and did not score. Although Johnson struggled to get going this game he is looking to get back to the 2000-yard season he had in 2009.
On the other side of the ball the promising Bengals are relying on their third year quarterback Andy Dalton to break out this season and lead their team to the playoffs this season. Dalton looked good Saturday as he came out on the field for three drives and went 9 for 14 with one touchdown.
The weak point for the Titans was their kicking, as they missed three field goals in the first half of the game. Kicking is sure to be an important part of this weeks practice in Tennessee.
The Tennessee Titans suffered injuries to key players on both sides of the ball Saturday when wide receiver Kendall Wright and linebacker Akeem Ayers made early exits against the Cincinnati Bengals.
The Titans continue to look for their first preseason win next week in Tennessee as they face the winless Atlanta Falcons. Cincinnati will go down to Arlington Texas next week to face the 1-2 Cowboys and try to continue their streak.
