LAKE FOREST, IL – The Chicago Bears signed S Antrel Rolle and WR Eddie Royal to three-year contracts.
Antrel Rolle
Antrel Rolle is a three-time Pro Bowler (2009, 2010 and 2013 seasons), who has appeared in 148 games with 139 starts over 10 seasons with Arizona (2005-09) and the New York Giants (2010-14), collecting 788 tackles, 26 interceptions, 70 pass break-ups, eight forced fumbles, six fumble recoveries and four sacks. He has returned four of his interceptions for touchdowns.
His 27 interceptions since entering the NFL in 2005 are fourth among NFL among safeties during that time and he is third among NFL safeties over the last two seasons with nine interceptions.
According to press box stats, Rolle led the Giants in tackles in 2011 and 2013 and finished second on the team in 2010, 2012 and 2014. With the Cardinals, he finished second on the team in tackles in 2006 and 2008.
Rolle has started 80-straight contests (2010-2014), the third-longest active starting streak among NFL safeties, which directly followed a streak of 63-consecutive games played for Rolle from 2006-09 (sitting out the 2009 season finale). He has appeared in at least 16 games in eight of his 10 seasons (2006-2008 and 2010-2014) and at least 15 games in each of the last nine years.
In 10 postseason contests, the former 2005 first-round (eighth overall) NFL Draft pick out of the University of Miami (Fla.) has collected 56 tackles, one interception, two pass break-ups and two fumble recoveries. In 2011, he helped the New York Giants win Super Bowl XLVI. He was a defensive captain for the Giants in each of the last two seasons (2013-14).

Eddie Royal
Royal has appeared in 98 games with 61 starts over seven seasons with Denver (2008-11) and San Diego (2012-14), hauling in 338 receptions for 3,750 yards (11.1 ypr) and 25 touchdowns. He has added 1,172 yards and two touchdowns on 111 punt returns (10.6 ypr), 1,375 yards and a touchdown on 57 kickoff returns (24.1 ypr) and 276 yards on 34 carries (8.1 ypc).
The 2008 second-round (42nd overall) NFL Draft pick out of Virginia Tech has started three-of-four postseason contests played, hauling in seven receptions for 137 yards (19.6 ypr) and a touchdown.
Last year, Royal had his second most productive NFL season, hauling in 62 receptions for 778 yards (12.5 ypr) and seven touchdowns. In his 2008 rookie season in Denver, Royal teamed up with current Bears quarterback Jay Cutler to finish seventh in the NFL with a career-high 91 receptions for 980 yards and five touchdowns.
