The NFL has fined Ravens wide receiver Anquan Boldin and cornerback Cary Williams $15, 750 a piece for hits against Denver Bronco players, according NFL league spokesman Cory Rush.
Boldin delivered a shoulder block on Broncos corner Chris Harris in the fourth quarter, knocking him down after the play was finished.
Williams tackled Broncos wide receiver Eric Decker at the end of a play when Decker was well out of bounds in the fourth quarter.
“I knew I was close to the sideline,” Williams said Thursday while he indicated he hadn’t been fined yet. “I wanted to get him out of bounds and I didn’t know what he was trying to do.”
Ravens head coach John Harbaugh claims Boldin’s hit was clean, but acknowledged Williams made a mistake. Both players were flagged for unnecessary roughness.
