Vikings HC Leslie Frazier announced that RB Adrian Peterson (knee) won't play at all this preseason. He hasn't suffered a setback, but the team still doesn't feel comfortable throwing him into live game action. Frazier added that AP is still expected to be ready for Week 1, but that there are "no guarantees." We're expecting Peterson to be out there for the season-opener, but he'll have yet to have that knee really tested. Look for Minnesota to be extremely cautious with his workload early on. We wouldn't expect more than 10-12 touches in a game until October. That'd make Peterson a risky fantasy starter. His workload the rest of the way will depend on how his knee holds up. We continue to balk at his current 2.03 ADP. Meanwhile, RB Toby Gerhart looks like a low-end RB2 option early on. His fantasy value the rest of the way will also be dependent on Peterson's health.
