The Dallas Cowboys elected to bolster their offensive line with the No. 9 overall pick in the draft, picking tackle Tyron Smith from USC.
Analysis: The Cowboys always lean toward skill-position guys in the first round, but they desperately need a right tackle, and Smith could slide right in and play on the opposite side of left tackle Doug Free right away. If Dallas spends the rest of the draft building up their lines, their stay in the top 10 of the draft could turn out to have been a very short one as they rebound next year.
