Browns Pick Jabaal Sheard With 37th Pick

With the fifth pick of the second round of the NFL draft, the Cleveland Browns selected Pittsburgh defensive end Jabaal Sheard.

Analysis: Cleveland and its new coaching staff is converting from a 3-4 to a 4-3 defense in 2011, and they like what Sheard brings as an outside pass rusher from the DE spot. Another DE going ahead of once-highly-regarded Da’Quan Bowers, whose knee injury really has him plummeting down the board.

Alum: Hall of Famer Paul Warfield announced the pick.
