Adrian Peterson will be sidelined 3-4 weeks

The sports hernia surgery Vikings RB Adrian Peterson underwent this morning is only expected to sideline him 3-4 weeks.  That means it'll have virtually no impact on his offseason routine.  AP also revealed that he suffered the abdominal injury in Week 10.  He barely practiced or lifted weights the rest of the season but still managed to rack up 1,068 rushing yards and 5 TDs on a 6.1 yards-per-carry average over his final 7 games.  "It definitely impacted my play," Peterson admitted. "I wasn't 100 percent, but I wanted to win a championship. I just played through the pain. I ran on adrenaline."  It's easy to argue that AP would have broken Eric Dickerson's single season rushing yards record if he hadn't been dealing with this sports hernia.  Still, the injury just makes Peterson's 2012 season even more legendary.
