With the Minnesota Vikings waiting to play in their new stadium ESPN reports that the Vikings will be giving up one of their final games at the Metrodome to play a “Home” game in London next September.
The 2013 season will be the Vikings final season at the Metrodome before moving to play at the University of Minnesota Stadium while their new stadium is being built. The Vikings are currently 31st out of 32 teams in stadium revenue and their flexible lease gives the Vikings an advantage to play one of their “Home” games in London.
The 2013 schedule calls for the Vikings to play home games against the Steelers, Browns, Eagles, Redskins, Packers, Bears, Lions and an NFC South opponent.
