Terrell Owens the former wide receiver and news maker of the NFL, tweeted during the Jets and Texans game that he would like to join the Jets and help with the depleted wide receiver problem they have. However, according to coach Rex Ryan, the Jets are not interested in Owens. Ryan said on Tuesday morning “never say never to anything, however we are looking at our young receivers right now and we want to get faster at this position.”
At this point in T.O.’s career, speed is not his strong point. T.O.’s last try at a NFL club was short lived, when he tried out with Seattle but was cut in the preseason after two weeks with the team.
The Jets are looking to get some of their weapons back this week against the Colts. Tight end Dustin Keller should be back after missing four games with a hamstring injury. Also rookie receiver Stephen Hill, also with a hamstring injury, is looking to be back this week.

The Jets MRI machine is going to be busy this week. Center Nick Mangold has a high ankle sprain and was scheduled for an MRI on Tuesday. He missed only two plays against the Texans.
Also scheduled for an MRI was wide out Clyde Gates with a shoulder injury. He hurt it in the second quarter of last week’s game and did not return.
Nose Tackle Kenrick Ellis hurt his knee last night and was also scheduled for an MRI. The Jets are certain he did not tear the knee, which is good news.
