The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette confirms that Steelers RB Rashad Mendenhall (knee) is expected to make his 2012 debut this coming Sunday. Mendy has been ramping up his practice participation over the past month-and-a-half and has been eyeing a Week 5 return all along. The Steelers' running game could certainly use a jolt. RBs Isaac Redman and Jonathan Dwyer have combined for just 142 yards on 56 carries (2.5 per) through 3 games. Mendenhall is expected to step right in as the lead back. "I hope [Mendenhall's return] helps us a bunch," OC Todd Haley said. "To get another difference-maker back will, hopefully, will be a big deal for us." We can't expect huge production from Mendy, a guy coming off a torn ACL who is averaging just 4.1 yards per carry for his career. But the fact that he's set up to serve as the lead back on a high-scoring offense makes him worth rostering in all fantasy leagues.
