The Seahawks have signed TE Zach Miller to a 5-year, $34 million deal. He’ll get $17 million guaranteed. Wow! This is the biggest surprise of this year’s free-agency period. All signs pointed towards Miller re-signing with the Raiders, but the Seahawks beat them out. The move is bad news for Miller’s fantasy value. The #1 option in the passing game with the Raiders, he’ll slot in as the #2 guy in Seattle behind WR Sidney Rice. Going from Jason Campbell to Tarvaris Jackson is also a downgrade. Besides the QB spot, though, the Seahawks have built an impressive group of skill-position players with Miller, Rice, Mike Williams, and Marshawn Lynch. Meanwhile, TE John Carlson is now completely off the fantasy radar.
