Donovan McNabb about to head to Minnesota

Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer reports that the Vikings and Redskins have agreed on the terms of a Donovan McNabb trade.  The ‘Skins will receive a 2012 6th-round pick and a conditional pick in 2013 in exchange for the 34-year-old signal-caller.  But the deal is still contingent on McNabb agreeing to take a major paycut.  The Vikings aren’t going to pay him the $10 million roster bonus he’s due later this year.  It may take a few days, but this deal will eventually get done.  It means that rookie QB Christian Ponder will spend his rookie season learning from the sidelines.  It also means that the Vikings’ pass-catchers will have a reliable veteran tossing them the rock.  This offense could be extremely dangerous in 2011.
