Yesterday, owners approved their version of a proposed agreement with the players. Today, league and team officials are meeting to discuss the details of their proposal, even though it hasn’t been agreed to yet by the players.
At the meeting in Atlanta, they are expected to discuss details related to the salary cap, free agency rules and the signing of players. Representatives of all 32 clubs are in attendance.
Bob Glauber of New York’s Newsday is reporting that NFL general managers were told that the lockout is still in effect, so the team facilities will not reopen until the league gives the go-ahead.
