Bears QB Jay Cutler said on Wednesday that his recovery from right thumb surgery is “on track.”
Cutler added: “Now it’s a matter of letting that bone heal. Maybe taking the pins out. Time’s not really on our side right now, but that’s all we can really do.”
It’s still unclear when Cutler is expected back, but he did mention that he hopes to begin throwing “in the next couple weeks.” It’d likely be at least an additional week after that until he’s ready to return. Cutler remains a long shot the rest of this season.
